Registering & applying
How you sign up depends on the event. The button tells you which kind it is — Register, Apply, Buy Tickets, or a link out. Here’s what actually happens behind each, and the things worth knowing before you click.
First-come, first-served
You’re in the moment you submit — no review. If the event is already full, submitting puts you on the waitlist instead.
Waitlists move. If someone withdraws from a full event, the next person on the waitlist is promoted automatically and emailed — you don’t need to keep refreshing. And if you open the page just before registration opens, it refreshes itself when the doors open so you’re not racing the clock manually.
Application-based
Common for recruiting events and selective programmes. You’ll go through a short wizard: eligibility, any questions the club added, documents (see below), and a review step. Then the club reviews and you’re approved, waitlisted, or rejected — you get an email either way.
- Documents — some events ask for your CV, a transcript, or specific extra files. You can reuse the version on your profile or upload a fresh one for this application.
- Data-sharing is shown up front. The review step tells you exactly which partners (e.g. a company co-hosting the event) will see your application before you submit. No hidden sharing.
Withdrawing is final. If you withdraw from an application event, you generally can’t re-apply. Only withdraw if you’re sure.
Ticketed

No registration / external
Some events are just “show up.” Others send you to an external page to register — the button will take you there.
Membership-gated events
If an event is members-only, you’ll see Membership Required with a “Join now to register →” shortcut. Some events also accept members of partner clubs, so check the event page — you might already qualify through another club.
Your CV is frozen per application. When you apply, UniClubs records the exact CV you submitted at that moment. Updating your CV later never rewrites what a club already received — so you always know they saw the right version.
