Joining clubs
Membership is how you unlock a club’s members-only events, member ticket prices, and its community (group chats, perks). Each club sets its own tiers.
How joining works
On a club’s page you’ll see its tiers — each with a price, how long it lasts, and what it includes. Two kinds:
- Instant access — you’re a member as soon as you join (and pay, if it’s paid).
- Requires approval — you send a short application and the board reviews it. Some tiers ask a few custom questions.
Durations vary too: a fixed number of days, valid until a set date (e.g. end of semester), or Lifetime.
Membership can pay for itself. On ticketed events you’ll often see “Members save CHF X.” If you go to a club’s events regularly, a paid tier can cost less than the ticket savings over a semester.
Phone number & WhatsApp
Some tiers ask for your phone number and permission to share it. That’s usually so the board can add you to the club’s WhatsApp group — many clubs run day-to-day communication there and add members automatically once you join. If you’d rather not, you can decline sharing, but you may miss group updates.
Paying
Paid tiers accept whatever methods the club has set up — card/TWINT online, or bank transfer/cash with instructions. If a tier needs approval first, you’ll pay after you’re accepted.
Already a member elsewhere? Some events accept partner-club members too. If you’re in a partner club, you might qualify for a members-only event without joining a second club — the event page will say so.
Renewing & managing
When a membership nears its end you’ll see a Renew option. All your memberships — active, pending, and past — live under your account → club memberships and on your dashboard.
You decide who sees which membership. You can hide specific clubs from your public profile while keeping the membership fully active. See your account & privacy.
